Since roughly fifteen years ago, Marvel Studios has been producing blazing-hot entertainment.

With the publication of hundreds of films in the Infinity Saga since 2008, the studio’s fan base has exploded due to the fascinating narratives. Here are the upcoming Marvel films and television series.

1) Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Five

  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania | February 17, 2023
  • Directors: Peyton Reed
  • Genre: Superhero, Adventure, Fantasy
  • Stars: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Kathryn Newton, Michael Douglas, Jonathan Majors

The next Ant-Man film is eagerly awaited, partly due to its expected impact on the Multiverse Saga.

The Marvel film will go more extensively into Kang the Conqueror, the main antagonist created by Jonathan Majors. This footage was displayed during the D23 Expo.

Given the widespread belief that Kang will be the next menace on par with Thanos, it remains to be seen how he will fare in this film.

Remember that this picture is a sequel to the earlier Ant-Man flicks in which Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly appeared.

The Marvel film follows Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne as they explore the depths of the Quantum Realm.

Anticipate this film to find out if Ant-Man and the Wasp encounter a “time-traveling, multiverse-spanning foe” (Kang).

The introduction of additional antagonists enhances the film’s plot. And, given that we know Kang will be in Avengers 5, as the film is titled The Kang Dynasty, this film will play a significant role.

2) What If…? Season 2 | Early 2023

  • Directors: Bryan Andrews
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Anthology, Superhero.
  • Stars: Jeffrey Wright

On August 11, 2021, the premiere of What If… captivated Marvel fans with only nine episodes.

This is the first animated series and fourth television series developed by Marvel Studios for the MCU.

The series intends to examine the catastrophic alterations that would occur in various timelines of the universe if significant events in MCU films had occurred differently.

This intriguing Marvel television series is narrated by Jeffrey Wright, who plays “The Watcher,” while other actors from past MCU films reprise their roles.

The upcoming season begins the formation of the Guardians of the Multiverse, as The Watcher meets new heroes and explores new worlds to defend the multiverse.

Even Captain America will be depicted differently than Captain America: The New World Order.

The animated series is expected to have nine more episodes, and while there is no official release date, it is expected to launch in early 2023. Since What If… was rushed into production, a Marvel Zombies series based on the cartoon is developing.

3) Secret Invasion (Disney Plus) | Spring 2023

  • Directors: Thomas Bezuchar, Ali Selim
  • Genre: Drama, Sci-Fi, Superhero.
  • Stars: Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle

You still remember Nick Fury, correct? Fury has yet to be featured much in recent Marvel entertainment, but he will get his TV series in the upcoming Secret Invasion Disney Plus series.

If Secret Invasion follows the comics, it might have the same impact on the MCU as Endgame.

In this series, Samuel L. Jackson will resume his role as Nick Fury, and Ben Mendelsohn will portray Talos, a shape-shifting Skrull.

The film focuses on a group of shape-shifting aliens called “The Skrulls” that infiltrate Earthly life.

The Secret Invasion may even reveal which Avengers Skrulls are. The Marvel Studios series Secret Invasion is set to launch on Disney Plus in the spring of 2023, beginning with six episodes.

4) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 | May 5, 2023

  • Directors: James Gunn
  • Genre: Sci-Fi, Action, Adventure, Superhero, Fantasy, Thriller, Space Opera
  • Stars: Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldaña, Bradley Cooper

The Guardians are eventually returning. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is on the horizon, and it’s expected to alter the crew radically.

This follows a relatively lengthy and challenging production process. Will Poulter, who will assume the role of Adam Warlock, is one of the individuals who may join or quit the crew.

This Marvel Studios superhero picture sends the Guardians to defend one of their galaxies while protecting the cosmos. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will be released on May 5, 2023.

5) Echo (Disney Plus) | Summer 2023

  • Director: Sydney Freeland
  • Genre: Action, Crime, Drama, Superhero.
  • Stars: Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Zahn McClarnon, Alaqua Cox

The planned series Echo is a spin-off from Hawkeye based on the Marvel comic “Echo.” Alaqua Cox, who portrays Maya Lopez, aka Echo, will be followed as her past actions come up with her.

Echo is a Marvel television series slated to broadcast on Disney Plus in the middle of 2023.

6) Loki Season 2 (Disney Plus) | Summer 2023

This is another incredible Marvel television series that captivated Marvel fans from the premiere season. Loki premiered on June 9, 2021, with only six jaw-dropping episodes, per Marvel Studios.

Tom Hiddleston reprised his role as Loki in the Marvel television series that earned numerous reviews.

The next second season, which is set to launch in the middle of 2023, will undoubtedly be fantastic.

As part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the forthcoming season will have an additional six episodes.

7) The Marvels | July 28, 2023

  • Directors: Nia DaCosta
  • Genre: Superhero, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Adventure

This is a continuation of Captain Marvel. The Marvels features Captain Marvel and her fellow Avengers film star, Samuel L. Jackson, in a continuation of the Captain Marvel film and Ms. Marvel’s adventures on Disney Plus.

Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel teamed up with Monica Rambeau to bring Marvel entertainment to our television screens.

The Marvels is set for release on July 28, 2023, as part of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

8) Ironheart (Disney Plus) | Fall 2023

The upcoming Marvel television series Ironheart is based on the smash-hit comic book of the same name. In Phase 5 of the MCU, this Marvel Studios-produced series will premiere with six episodes.

Ironheart will follow Riri Williams as she creates an iron suit that could challenge Tony Stark. Domonique Thorne will portray Riri Williams for the first time in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

9) Agatha: Coven of Chaos (Disney Plus) | Winter 2023

  • Directors: Sam Bailey, Angela Barnes
  • Genre: Sci-Fi, Superhero.
  • Stars: Kathryn Hahn

Kathryn Hahn captivated Marvel fans with her cheeky witch character in her MCU debut in WandaVision.

Hahn will reprise her role as Agatha Harkness in her series, Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

After her fate in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it is uncertain whether Wanda will appear in this series.

Those who watch Marvel films should recall that the last time they saw Agatha, she was under Wanda’s spell in WandaVision.

Marvel Studios confirmed the release date of this series during the San Diego Comic-Con. Consequently, we anticipate the release of this Marvel Studios spin-off series in the winter of 2023.

10) Daredevil: Born Again (Disney Plus) | 2024

  • Directors: Mark Steven Johnson (Possibly)
  • Genre: Action, Crime Drama, Legal Drama, Superhero.
  • Stars: Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson

Daredevil is finally returning. After a brief appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Daredevil will return to the MCU with his series in 2024.

In contrast to Iron Fist and Luke Cage, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil now has a definite release date.  Despite the lack of information regarding the upcoming series, fans remain optimistic about what to expect.

With Chris Ord as executive producer, Daredevil’s comeback will undoubtedly be filled with surprises.

However, Matt Murdock will appear in She-Hulk before this series, so we should have a better picture of what his character looks like before its release.

Marvel Studios has indicated that this show would premiere on Disney Plus in early 2024.

11) Captain America: New World Order | May 3, 2024

  • Directors: Julius Onah

A new Captain America has arrived in the city. With Chris Evans passing the torch to Anthony Mackie, the fourth Captain America film will differ from the previous three.

It is known that the film will focus on Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, who assumed the role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Bucky Barnes, portrayed by Sebastian Stan, may also make a cameo.

Although this is the fourth installment in the Captain America franchise, the plot is unknown.

Marvel Studios’ next Captain America film, Captain America: New World Order, is scheduled for release on May 3, 2024, as announced at San Diego Comic-Con.

12) Thunderbolts | July 26, 2024

Marvel is assembling a new squad, which might have fewer morals than the Avengers. Thunderbolts is one of the most anticipated upcoming Marvel films and will feature a team of criminals fighting for their cause.

Throughout Phase 4, seeds have been planted for the new team. Several castings, including David Harbour, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Wyatt Russell, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Hannah John-Kamen, and Olga Kurylenko, were announced during the D23 Expo.

This covers Black Widow, Hawkeye, previous Avengers flicks, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

13) Blade | September 6, 2024

  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy
  • Stars: Delroy Lindo, Aaron Pierre, Mahershala Ali

In 1998, New Line Cinema launched the Blade trilogy, which has now evolved into good flicks.

In August 2012, however, Marvel Studios acquired the film rights and chose to add more fascinating storylines for premium entertainment. In this remake, Mahershala Ali will play the starring role.

The Blade was supposed to be released on November 3, 2023.

However, the release date has been pushed back due to the departure of director Bassam Tariq. Since then, it has been moved to 2024. In 2021, Blade made a brief appearance in Eternals.

14) Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Six Fantastic Four | February 14, 2025

  • Directors: Matt Shakman
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi
  • Stars: TBD

After acquiring 21st Century Fox in December 2017, Kevin Feige, the chief producer of Marvel Studios, revealed that the Fantastic Four would be incorporated into the MCU.

Feige revealed in December 2020 that Jon Watts, director of three Spider-Man films, would direct the feature picture.

In April of this year, though, Jon Watts resigned. Director Matt Shakman is confirmed, as stated during the D23 Expo in 2022. Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer will serve as chief writers for Fantastic Four.

Reed Richards, Sue Storm, The Thing, and Johnny Storm are now undergoing casting. The film was initially scheduled for release on November 8, 2024, but the date was modified from October 2022 to February 14, 2025.

15) Avengers: The Kang Dynasty | May 2, 2025

  • Directors: Destin Daniel Cretton
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Superhero
  • Cast: TBD

The Avengers are returning, and they’re returning with a bang. As the title suggests, Jonathan Majors will portray Kang the Conqueror in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

However, nothing else is known about the film, including which members of the Avengers will remain.

You can guarantee that the events in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania will significantly impact the subsequent Marvel films.

Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed the first Shang-Chi picture and will also direct the second, is attached as director.

Will the Fantastic Four play an essential role in this? Will the Fantastic Four play a vital role in our upcoming film? We have yet to determine. However, we know the picture will be released on May 2, 2025.

16) Avengers: Secret Wars | May 1, 2026

  • Directors: TBD
  • Genre: Action, Adventure, Superhero
  • Stars: TBD

We’re not getting one Avengers movie in 2025 – we’re getting two. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will reportedly lead directly into the epic event Avengers: Secret Wars. (Think of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania as two Avengers flicks with some interstitial storylines to fill out the cast)

Again, since the film is so far away, little is known about it; nonetheless, it might be Marvel’s biggest film to date, and potential spoilers and leaks have already begun.

Ryan Coogler, who directed Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is reported to be the director.

It was initially scheduled for release on November 7, 2025, but was pushed back to May 1, 2026, when Deadpool 3 and Blade were rescheduled.
