Bengals Chase Unavailable against Titans

Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is still hurt in his hip, so he won’t be able to play in the Cincinnati Bengals’ Week 12 game against the Tennessee Titans. This will be the fourth consecutive game that Chase has been sidelined.

Chase first hurt his hip when he was tackled in the end zone during Cincinnati’s win over the Saints in Week 6 of the NFL season. Chase was able to play through the pain for the remainder of that game and the following one, but he was ruled out prior to Week 8 and has not been on the field since that point in time.

There was concern that the injury would take so much time to recover from that the Bengals would have to put Chase on injured reserve, but the team ultimately decided against doing so. Chase will now have missed four games, which is the minimum number of games he would have been required to miss if he had been placed on injured reserve. This is because he was not active on Sunday.

This week marked the first time since the injury was disclosed that Chase was able to return to practice. During his time there, however, he was only able to participate in limited activities.
